Siemens at 2026 Industry Fair: embodied AI in factories, Eigen update
At the 2026 Industry Fair, Siemens released more than 20 new products, 13 of them locally developed Chinese innovations, and signed cooperation agreements with over 40 Chinese companies. Siemens co-released the Chinese national standard GB/T 47859—2026 on reconfigurable modeling rules for intelligent factory production systems, and opened five China plants and six real production scenarios to ecosystem partners for embodied-AI testing; at its booth a wheeled humanoid robot autonomously moved and handled workpiece picking, simulated loading and return placement under unified scheduling. The Eigen engineering agent, launched in China in July 2026, added standards-compliant automated project-structure generation, which Siemens says can cut program development time by up to 50%, plus multi-axis drive configuration.
The bottleneck for industrial AI lies more in data, standards and systems integration than in humanoid robot hardware.
