XPeng opens MONA L05 pre-sales from 169,800 yuan with Turing VLA driver assist
XPeng held a pre-sale launch event in Guangzhou on Oct 15 for the MONA L05, the third model in its MONA line and the line's first five-seat SUV, offering battery-electric and extended-range powertrains across five variants priced from 169,800 yuan (electric 535 Max and extended-range 1310 Max) up to 191,800 yuan for the electric 635 Ultra SE, with a full launch set for Oct 29. According to XPeng's figures, the Ultra SE uses two Turing AI chips with 1,500 TOPS of effective compute running XPeng's second-generation Turing VLA model, while the Max uses one chip at 750 TOPS running VLA Lite. In the cabin, the Xiao P assistant is upgraded to a Master Agent built on XPeng's in-house Omni multimodal base, handling fuzzy navigation queries and multi-stop trip planning in natural language. Ifanr noted the L05's pricing overlaps XPeng's own G6 and G7, while also pointing out that those models retain an 800V architecture, 5C charging and double-wishbone front suspension.
XPeng is pushing its in-house Turing AI chips and second-generation VLA driver-assist model down into the volume-selling MONA line, with the Ultra SE variant rated at 1,500 TOPS, bringing that hardware and model into the 170,000–190,000 yuan price band.
