Qwen Office Launches as 150+ Apps Resist Doubao Automation
Alibaba released the Qwen Office e-commerce edition on October 14, combining cross-platform dashboards, trend insights, creative generation and ROI optimization in an AI workspace for merchants. TMTPost reported that Doubao phone assistant also updated its Screen Automation Operation Statement Protocol, with more than 150 applications explicitly refusing AI-automated operation. The refusals included Taobao, Alipay, Meituan and Pinduoduo, while JD was not listed, which does not establish that it supports the assistant.
The report highlights a split between e-commerce platforms embedding their own AI tools and applications resisting external AI automation of their transaction flows.
