miHoYo Founders Enter Hurun Top 100 as AI Investments Expand
The 2026 Hurun Rich List placed miHoYo founders Cai Haoyu, Liu Wei, and Luo Yuhao in its top 100 with estimated fortunes of RMB 128 billion, RMB 70.5 billion, and RMB 66.5 billion. Rongzhong Finance reported that miHoYo has increasingly invested in AI models, computing chips, brain-computer interfaces, nuclear fusion, and space technology, including backing MiniMax. The report also said miHoYo plans to invest up to RMB 100 billion in large models over three years, while third-party data indicated weakness in two of its major games’ Chinese iOS revenue.
The entry of all three founders and miHoYo’s expanding portfolio of AI and frontier-technology investments show the game company positioning substantial capital and existing game scenarios around AI development.
