- NVIDIA launches Kumo Relational for training-free database prediction
NVIDIA introduced Kumo Relational, a pre-trained foundation model that makes predictions directly on relational enterprise databases without task-specific training, feature engineering, or table flattening. NVIDIA reports that it outperformed supervised relational models and gradient-boosted tree pipelines across 41 tasks on 15 databases, and also exceeded AutoGluon ensembles by 8% in mean reciprocal rank on the SAP SALT benchmark. The model is available through NVIDIA's open-source structured-data-models library or as an NVIDIA NIM, with code released under Apache 2.0 and model weights under the OpenMDW License Agreement.
