- Peec AI finds OpenAI partner content prioritized in ChatGPT
Peec AI researcher David Konitzny found that OpenAI licensing partners receive pre-generated summaries in ChatGPT, while ordinary web pages appear as raw text snippets. Partner entries are placed ahead of all web results; across 1,000 analyzed ranked lists, they made up 70% of entries in positions one through three and 23% in positions seven through ten. The analysis identified 12 publishers spanning 43 domains, including Condé Nast, Hearst, Axel Springer, News Corp, Reuters and AP.
