- VitVio deploys AI camera platform in Polish operating theatres
London-based startup VitVio is deploying its Vetro camera and ambient-sensing platform at the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk, the first Polish hospital to adopt it, with distributor Medim coordinating the installation in selected rooms. According to the company, Vetro turns continuous capture into a live geometric model of the operating room, recognising surgical stages, flagging delays and coordinating between cases; instrument tracking and operative notes are still to come, and the company says the system strips identifiable data in real time and builds no biometric templates. Notably, Annex III of the EU AI Act classifies AI used to monitor and evaluate workers' behaviour as high-risk, but the Omnibus delayed employment and six other categories to December 2027, so that classification is not yet in force.
