   Apollo Power buys 1GWh of Tesla Megapack storage for AI data centres

   Taiwan's Apollo Power signed a contract with Tesla Energy Taiwan for roughly 1GWh of large-scale energy storage — 260 Tesla Megapack units — and launched an "AIDC and enterprise resilient grid" partnership with Phison Electronics, Gigabyte and Shihlin Electric. Apollo Power chairman Wang Hui-min said power, not compute, is often the binding constraint once firms have secured GPUs and servers, and noted that NVIDIA's DSX Ready qualification programme launched in September included battery energy storage systems, with Tesla among the first qualified BESS solutions. Tesla Energy Taiwan general manager Sun Hsiao-han said Tesla Energy has deployed more than 50GWh of storage globally, growing 2–3GWh per quarter, and that Megapack's Grid-Forming technology can supply virtual inertia and voltage support within milliseconds, cutting high-frequency grid oscillation by about 70% in a GPU-load case at Phison's plant.
