Taobao could read the user's current coupons, while JD AI购 could not access specific cart items. Doubao confused original and post-discount prices and overlooked incompatible coupon rules. In a separate consumer case, Doubao, Qwen, and DeepSeek produced substantially different estimates for the same shopping guide, with the reported maximum error reaching 500 yuan against the actual payment.

   A hands-on report by 霞光AI实验室 compared Taobao’s embedded shopping assistant, JD AI购, Doubao, and 什么值得买’s “张大妈” on personalized lists, budgeting, price comparison, discount calculation, and multi-turn refinements. Taobao maintained context more consistently, JD AI购 provided fuller pricing and historical-price information, Doubao offered distinctive spending advice but sometimes lost context, and “张大妈” offered cross-platform comparison but struggled to combine products and adjust budgets. The four findings come from the author’s own trials rather than a controlled benchmark.
