   StepFun and Silicon Partner conclude five-day AI builder program at ACC

   StepFun and Silicon Partner held a five-day “AI Startup Apprentice” program during ACC 2026, culminating in a final pitch on October 25. Participants moved from initial demos through technical and product work, growth and commercialization guidance, user testing and iteration before presenting updated products. Step Plan benefits, StepFun models and related development resources supported the work, while BuilderHub recorded progress, version notes and feedback. Examples included a desktop AI character and a household item-location mini program. StepFun’s Go to Market and developer relations head Gong Guandan said Step Code was then on its fourth version, averaging one update every three working days.

   StepFun details Step 5 Preview and Step Code at ACC 2026

   At ACC 2026, StepFun GTM and developer relations lead Gong Guan detailed the company’s Step 5 Preview flagship foundation model and Step Code Agent Harness. Step 5 Preview uses a 600B-parameter MoE architecture with about 27B parameters activated per inference, native multimodal input, long-context processing, and tool use, while Step Code manages goals, context, execution state, and result acceptance for long-running tasks. Gong Guan said Step Code was then in its fourth version, with an average iteration cycle of three working days.
