Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA said they will extend their strategic partnership to jointly develop next-generation driver assistance and automated driving systems. The companies said the work combines Mercedes-Benz's MB.OS operating system with NVIDIA's Hyperion compute and sensor architecture, Alpamayo Stack full-stack driving software with AI reasoning for urban point-to-point assistance, active safety and automated parking, and the Halos safety system with a parallel safety stack for redundancy. They said the technologies support advanced driver assistance and development of future SAE Level 4 applications including robolimousines, and that Mercedes-Benz also uses NVIDIA technology in vehicle engineering simulation and its MO360 digital production ecosystem.
