- The real test for physical AI starts after the pilot
A TechRadar Pro perspectives piece argues that the bottleneck for physical AI — vehicles, equipment, cameras and sensors — is no longer budget or ambition but execution: organizations must pick a measurable operational problem, give AI the operational context it needs (maintenance history, location, driving behaviour and conditions), and connect every insight to an action. It cites BCG's 2026 AI Radar as finding corporate AI spending will more than double from 0.8% to about 1.7% of revenue, PwC's 2026 study that 74% of AI's economic value goes to 20% of organizations, and Capgemini's finding that 79% of organizations engage with robotics while only 27% deploy or scale it.
TechRadar · 🔥 5 - Anthropic launches Cyber Mission, CIDP for critical infrastructure, free OSS Scanner
Anthropic launched the Anthropic Cyber Mission, a long-term commitment to securing critical infrastructure and open-source software. Its first piece, the Critical Infrastructure Defense Program, brings frontier Claude models, on-site engineers and threat research to a founding cohort of providers — Accenture, Booz Allen, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, Dragos, Hitachi, Insane Cyber, Nozomi Networks, Palo Alto Networks, PwC and Rockwell Automation — that defend the operational technology behind power grids, water systems and transportation networks. The second piece, OSS Scanner, is a free opt-in service that periodically scans open-source projects with Anthropic's strongest models and sends model-generated reports containing a proof of concept, an explanation and a suggested fix, without human review; Anthropic expects a true-positive rate above 90%. Anthropic also said Project Glasswing was merged this week into its expanded Cyber Verification Program.
