   Reverse Engineer Anything brings AI agents into game porting

   Tom’s Hardware reports that AI agents and the Reverse Engineer Anything (REA) harness are increasingly being used to create native PC ports of previously console-exclusive games. REA connects binary analyzers, decompilers, metadata tools, firmware images and database readers through agents, while exposing the tools and supporting skill files to a user-selected AI agent. The report says this can reduce repetitive reverse-engineering work, but it also notes that earlier ports such as Super Mario Galaxy and Modern Warfare 2 still required developers to interpret results and direct the process.
