   AI governance shifts to runtime as always-on agents spread

   Speaking at Dell Technologies' "AI Leadership Symposium," Singulr AI co-founder and CEO Shiv Agarwal, Sycamore Labs founder and CEO Sri Viswanath and MisaLabs co-founder Victor Jakubiuk said enterprise AI governance is shifting from pre-deployment permission-setting to monitoring agent behavior at runtime, as autonomous agents run around the clock across many platforms. Agarwal said enterprises need to "rationalize" the gap between business intent and actual runtime state, and that Singulr has extended agent governance to local AI tools on employee endpoints, since actions such as fetching internet data or emailing a private account can be deeply hidden inside agentic behavior. Viswanath said some CIOs want agents and large language model calls kept inside their own virtual private clouds so data never leaves, while Agarwal called for more standardization across governance frameworks including the EU AI Act and Jakubiuk stressed the need to keep pace with AI capabilities.
