   Open-source Minecraft harness tests GPT-6.1 Sol agent swarms

   Researchers and Olam Labs ran multi-agent experiments in Minecraft and Mindustry using an open-source Minecraft harness built on Mineflayer with a Pi-based agent loop. In one three-hour Minecraft run, 50 GPT-6.1 Sol agents shared a sandbox, rationed food, established rules and roles, and exchanged about 5,900 messages. The authors say the research could help investigate emergent coordination and multi-agent dynamics in AI alignment.

   Four Gemini 4 Argon agents autonomously beat Minecraft

   Google DeepMind researchers gave four Gemini 4 Argon agents a single objective in a randomly generated Minecraft survival world: defeat the Ender Dragon. Using the standard Mineflayer library, the agents wrote and debugged 2,783 programs, coordinated through in-game chat and shared memory, and completed the run in 27 hours and 14 minutes without human intervention. The team died 605 times, and 22% of its programs ended in errors; the result came from a single Easy-difficulty run.
