   Houmo open-sources edge AI software stack, details 2D/3D CIM roadmap

   At its ecosystem partner conference in Beijing on Oct. 14, 2026, Houmo AI announced plans to open-source its full AI ecosystem software stack, spanning model quantization and compilation, inference frameworks and operator libraries, domain kits and deployment tools, with 15 open-source projects to roll out by January; some repositories such as postmo-modelzoo and vllm-postmo are already visible on GitHub. The company also detailed a dual SRAM-CIM roadmap: 2D CIM for high-capacity, high-compute workloads such as MoE and image/video generation, and 3D CIM for high-bandwidth dense-model inference. Houmo said M30 and M50 are already in mass production on 2D CIM, the first 3D CIM chip A20 is in production, and the M6X series is in development; it said M50 has won more than 150 product design-ins and over 100 customers in under a year, and showed devices including Lenovo's AI host P7, China Great Wall's N90 Pro and ClawHouse X1.

   Tianjin: China's underrated AI infrastructure hub, from chips to supercomputing

   An AGI-Signal piece republished with authorization by TMTPost lays out Tianjin's position across China's domestic computing stack: the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin, founded in 2009, hosts Tianhe-1, China's first supercomputer to top the world ranking; both the Phytium and Hygon CPU lines landed in the city in 2014; Kylin Software and GBase cover operating systems and databases; and Sugon completed the claimed all-domestic 100,000-card AI supercluster Sugon 8000 (Dengfeng) in July. The article also cites emerging work on space-based computing, a supercomputing-intelligent-quantum prototype due by end-2027, brain-computer interfaces and embodied robots. Sales, deployment and market-share figures come largely from company or local-government statements rather than independent verification.
