  1. Google signs 20-year nuclear PPA with Constellation to add 890 MW for AI data centers

Google has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Constellation Energy, acting as anchor customer for more than $4.3 billion of upgrades to 11 nuclear units across Illinois, Pennsylvania and New Jersey that are expected to add 890 MW of new capacity to the PJM grid, with the first uprate due by 2028 and the full amount targeted before the end of 2032. The companies also signed a separate 15-year energy supply agreement covering 2,700 MW of Constellation's existing PJM generation, plus a five-year technology deal under which Constellation will expand its use of Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise. Google ties the projects to rising electricity demand from its AI data centers; the article cites IEA projections of nearly 2% annual US demand growth through 2030, with data centers accounting for about half of the increase.

  3. Google launches Developer Knowledge API ecosystem for AI agents and dev tools

Google introduced the Developer Knowledge API ecosystem, a structured programmatic interface to official documentation for Google Cloud, Firebase, Android and more, aimed at AI agents, IDE extensions and automated workflows rather than web scraping. The lineup includes gcloud CLI commands (answer-query, documents search-chunks, documents describe), an official agent skill that connects via MCP to Google Antigravity, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and custom frameworks, client libraries for C#, Go, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, PHP, Python and Ruby, and an APIs Explorer for interactive testing. Google says the API is indexed frequently to keep retrieval fresh and reduce hallucinations caused by stale LLM training cutoffs.
