   RTX 5090 Discontinuation Rumor Fuels Huaqiangbei Price Surge

   Nvidia denied reports that it had discontinued the GeForce RTX 5090, yet the rumor triggered rapid price changes in China’s Huaqiangbei GPU market. IT之家 reported that RTX 5090 channel prices rose from roughly 30,000 yuan to around 50,000 yuan or as high as 55,000–60,000 yuan, while RTX 5080 and RTX 5060 prices also increased. The report attributed part of the supply pressure to memory makers prioritizing HBM for AI servers, alongside a broader shortage of GDDR7 memory for consumer GPUs.

   NVIDIA adds beta DLSS Frame Generation Performance Mode

   NVIDIA introduced a beta Frame Generation Performance Mode for RTX 40- and RTX 50-series GPUs, available as Preset C through the Nvidia App's DLSS Override settings. The mode uses a new algorithm instead of the previous optical-flow AI model and, according to NVIDIA, consumes fewer GPU resources while causing a slight image-quality loss. NVIDIA reported RTX 5060 results of 120 to 132 FPS at 3x frame generation and 255 to 348 FPS at 6x, while Wccftech separately reported that RTX Remix 1.6 includes the mode.
