    On October 19, the XingChen AGI Lab at China Telecom AI open-sourced Xing4.0-29B-Intent, a 29B model that combines intent classification and parameter extraction and returns results in a unified category+args JSON structure. The code is open under Apache 2.0 in the TeleChat-USP GitHub repository; the report gives Hugging Face, ModelScope and Modelers links, says datasets and weights are on Hugging Face, and notes an official inference image.

  2. OpenAI retires GPT-5.5 from ChatGPT as legacy API versions get a three-month sunset

    OpenAI removed GPT-5.5 from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex sessions signed in with a ChatGPT account on October 14, according to reports citing the company's model documentation; API access was reported as unaffected, and Codex sessions using API-key authentication were said to keep the model. Reports add that selected API versions of GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.1 mini are scheduled to shut down on January 14, 2027, leaving developers roughly three months to migrate. OpenAI advised users to check workspace default models, custom agents, scheduled tasks and scripts that still specify GPT-5.5, pointing Plus and Pro Codex users to GPT-6.1 Sol and Free and Go users to GPT-6 Luna in supported desktop apps. A 36Kr consumer piece also described Reddit users writing prompt-based "reincarnation" guides to preserve GPT-5.5's tone and conversational style before it left the product.
