   OpenAI outlines proactive AI health assistant and clinician copilot plans

   OpenAI health lead Karan Singhal said the company is exploring a proactive personal health assistant spanning pre-visit, in-visit and post-visit care, including appointment, insurance, treatment-plan and billing support. OpenAI is also testing Clinician Copilot with Penda Health and working with Epic to bring ChatGPT into clinical workflows. The interview also covered life-science efforts involving GPT-Rosalind and the acquisition of Orchestra Bio.

   Abridge and UT Medical System establish framework for eight institutions

   Reports from 36Kr and TMTPost say Abridge and the University of Texas Medical System established a system-wide framework allowing eight academic health institutions in the system to access Abridge’s ambient-intelligence technology. The reports also say that in September, Abridge was included in a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ambient-intelligence procurement framework with a five-year ceiling of $775.72 million. The figure is a framework ceiling, not confirmed revenue.

   Low-Quality AI Games Prompt Calls for a Steam Next Fest Filter

   Valve’s Steam Next Fest opened with what appears to be a larger-than-usual influx of low-quality submissions, including games whose artwork appears to have been generated with AI. Players said they were struggling to find human-made titles and requested a filter for AI-generated content. Steam already requires developers to self-label AI content and has a tagging system, although Valve reduced the number of user-defined tags in May. One player also called for stricter submission rules.
