   Topstar to debut industrial embodied AI solutions at TOPS DAY 2026

   Topstar (拓斯达) will hold its TOPS DAY 2026 global open day on November 7–8 and says it will debut an industrial embodied-intelligence solution alongside several new products, according to 36Kr. The listed offerings include a wheeled humanoid robot, "Xiao Tuo," for box palletizing; a dual-arm humanoid robot for sorting irregular parts; and an AI flexible sorting workstation whose recipe changeover can take as little as five minutes. Topstar also proposes using a real-machine data-collection gripper plus virtual simulation to generate AI training data for existing production lines, claiming the gripper's positioning error is under 0.25%. The event will additionally present humanoid-robot component machining and AI-supply-chain precision injection-molding solutions, involving subsidiary Effort (埃弗米). The report cites industry figures: CAICT expects industrial AI penetration among leading industrial firms to reach 60% within three years, while AI adoption in the manufacturing stage rose from 19.9% in 2024 to 25.9% in 2025.

   MIT report finds record sustainability commitment, lagging governance

   The 2026 State of Supply Chain Sustainability Report from MIT's Sustainable Supply Chain Lab, based on a survey of 1,810 supply chain professionals across 91 countries, found that 83 percent rate sustainability as important or very important to long-term business success, the highest level in the report's seven-year history. Yet 68 percent said tariff uncertainty had forced them to delay, scale back or abandon sustainability strategies, and among companies with public sustainability goals only 51 percent have a formal cross-functional sustainability team, with 33 percent placing oversight at board level. On AI, 78 percent of North American organizations report using it in sustainability initiatives and 87 percent of adopters report a positive impact, but among mature agentic AI users only 53 percent report lower total greenhouse gas emissions while 29 percent report an increase.
