  1. AI-Enhanced Infostealer Uses LLMs to Profile Victims

Cisco Talos researchers identified Volta-Autodoxer, an infostealer that collects credentials, authentication tokens, cookies, payment data, crypto wallet seed phrases, and active sessions. It compiles stolen information into a dossier and sends it through OpenRouter to language models for structured, citation-backed victim assessments, defaulting to Claude Opus 4.6 with fallbacks to Kimi K2 and Gemini 2.5 Flash. The researchers found the malware with CAIRN, a framework for detecting hacking tools that incorporate AI capabilities.

  2. ChainReaction Raises Seed Funding for AI Penetration Testing

36Kr and DoNews report that AI cybersecurity startup ChainReaction has raised several million yuan in seed funding from parties associated with 微步在线 and 靖安科技. The proceeds are intended for R&D, market-team development, and infrastructure, while the company is testing token-based pricing for its platform. ChainReaction also introduced CYBER·AI Hacker, an agent-based automated penetration-testing SaaS covering the attack lifecycle, but its performance claims and pricing model have not been independently verified.

  3. Hacker used AI agents to breach 100+ sites for ~$5,000 in tokens, researcher says

NorForge principal threat researcher Snorre Fagerland reported that a Chinese-speaking hacker used AI agents orchestrated through Cairn, an open-source multi-agent problem-solving platform, to target more than 1,200 websites and breach over 100, according to Reuters. Reuters identified Deere, SharkNinja and Cummins among the victims; Deere said it had taken remediation steps and saw no sign sensitive information was accessed, SharkNinja said a standalone product-support site was hit and the threat contained, and Cummins said it was investigating a report about a website run by one of its vendors. Fagerland estimated the campaign consumed about $5,000 in tokens, roughly $50 per successful breach, with successful intrusions averaging about 23 hours; the worker reportedly combined Claude Code with a DeepSeek model, though researchers said the model was hard to determine.
