   Beijing's Yizhuang pilot issues ID to AI virtual humans

   According to 36Kr, AI singer Yuri received a commercial digital-performance admission certificate on June 11, 2026 under the regulatory sandbox run by the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (Yizhuang), along with an identity credential listing a name, address and facial features. The report says the system binds each virtual persona's registration to the company or team operating it, so liability flows through to the operator rather than granting the avatar independent legal personhood. Operators must prove lawful rights over the character, show stable technical operation and keep a named responsible person available to intervene.
