   MIIT releases AI-for-industrialization scenario catalog covering 1,000+ cases

   China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology formally released a catalog of "high-value scenarios for AI-enabled new industrialization" on October 15, covering more than 1,000 scenarios across 20 sub-sectors including petrochemicals, steel, automobiles and consumer electronics, and described as a reference "industry navigation map." The catalog was produced jointly by multiple research institutions and enterprises, and MIIT said it will treat manufacturing as the main battlefield and application-driven deployment as the main line. A follow-up report said MIIT has organized nearly 30 "deep dive" events connecting more than 5,000 enterprises, supported 18 national AI innovation and application pilot zones including Beijing and Jinan-Qingdao, pushed industry to draft nearly 200 key AI technology standards, and set up a 60 billion yuan national AI industry investment fund.
