   ASI raises $325M Series C at $3B valuation to expand AI for air traffic and defense

   ASI, the Boston company formerly known as Air Space Intelligence, announced Tuesday a $325 million Series C round valuing it at $3 billion, led by Spark Capital with affiliates of Citadel Securities, Meritech Capital, Craft Ventures, Energy Impact Partners and Andreessen Horowitz participating. Its software models air traffic, power grids and military operations hours, days and weeks ahead so operators can act before problems spread. The round follows a June $875 million, 12-year FAA contract won ahead of Palantir and Thales, and a five-year, $99 million US Army command-and-control contract in October; the FAA began using the system around Washington and plans a national rollout, according to The Next Web and SiliconANGLE.
